Period Tote Bag
This bag was created to celebrate the release of my first book Period. Everything you need to know about periods, period. Written and Illustrated by me! A menstruation manual for everyone and anyone.
The stigma and taboo around periods is damaging, we can smash it together by talking about it. And what a great way to start the conversation by wearing this fun bright bag.
Ten percent of the profits from each tote bag sold will be donated to Bloody Good Period, an organisation providing menstrual supplies to asylum seekers, refugees and those who can't afford them. www.bloodygoodperiod.com

The story that inspired the artwork
This Artwork was created to celebrate the release of my first book Period. I don't know one period having person that hasn't leaked at at some point in their lives. Alisha Coleman was fired from her job in 2017 as a 911 call taker, after she leaked menstruation blood onto her chair. "I loved my job at the emergency call centre because I got to help people, every woman dreads getting period symptoms when they're not expecting them, but I never thought I could be fired for it. Getting fired for an accidental period leak was humiliating. I don't want any woman to have to go through what I did, so I’m fighting back." Alisha was going through pre-menopause at the time which can cause heavy and unpredictable periods. I will be following this case and I bloody well hope she wins!!! Otherwise this means that women employees will also be judged by their bodily functions on top of their clothes, hair, weight and voices.
