The stigma and taboo around periods is damaging, we can smash it together by talking about it. And what a great way to start the conversation by wearing this tee.

The story that inspired the artwork
This Artwork was created to celebrate the release of my first book Period. I don't know one period having person that hasn't leaked at at some point in their lives. Alisha Coleman was fired from her job in 2017 as a 911 call taker, after she leaked menstruation blood onto her chair. "I loved my job at the emergency call centre because I got to help people, every woman dreads getting period symptoms when they're not expecting them, but I never thought I could be fired for it. Getting fired for an accidental period leak was humiliating. I don't want any woman to have to go through what I did, so I’m fighting back." Alisha was going through pre-menopause at the time which can cause heavy and unpredictable periods. After I read the story I drew this illustration of a period stain on a chair.
